From our very first call I knew this wedding was going to be special and man was I right! Maria, Tim and their whole families are a class act and certainly know how to entertain. From the very early stages of planning Maria's number one concern was her guests comfort and enjoyment. She planned their entire day around how it would translate to their guests and how they would enjoy their time in South Central Pa!
After our initial call we chatted via email and she booked Peachy Keen for our Unlimited Rentals with Coordination package. We started working on planning and design in the fall but with Maria being in New Jersey we did not meet until about 2 months before her wedding. This was the one time we saw each other before her wedding day. All the design and inventory selections were done via email or with her putting her trust in our team! This served everyone well and we were able to have creative liberty in some areas while still achieving her vision.
We started the day with Maria getting ready at her childhood home and Tim getting ready at The Barrel House both in Chambersburg, PA.
They were surrounded by friends and family the entire morning. They exchanged beautiful letters to each other which were read in some quiet moments before they started their portraits.
Our Photographer for the day was Vince Ha Photography!
Anytime we work with Vince and Amy we know we will have fun AND be left with beautiful images and this wedding was no exception!
Tim and Maria choose to have their ceremony at Maria's childhood church, Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg, PA. Its stately features were the perfect compliment to their classically themed wedding.
One of my favorite parts of the day was the trolley they had for the wedding party transportation! Not only was it super functional it was a very neat touch that added some flair to their arrival!
After the ceremony all the guests were treated to a mini cocktail hour at The Gear House while they waited for the coach buses to transport them to The Round Barn for the full cocktail hour!
Once at The Round Barn in Biglerville, PA we were there with Fabio's Catering and the Don't Call Me Francis Band to greet them with a beautiful space, yummy food and great music!
Megan with Blooming Occasions and I worked together to create a floral plan that would wow the guests! We custom built the trellis that went over the head table just for Maria and her vision and then filled the rest of the space with beautiful compotes and garlands.
We also custom built the wooden bar to help disguise a bar that was already in place. This bar is now one of our most popular rentals!
One special touch that was important to Maria and Tim to incorporate into their cocktail hour and reception was a beautiful heirloom sign from her uncles cheese business in Philadelphia. It was proudly displayed atop the antipasta bar for all the guests to admire.
While the guests were drinking, snacking and having fun the newly weds took some time to take some beautiful photos!
When your dad is known as "Mr. Chambersburg" and has a building named after him on the square you
MUST stop downtown for a quick photo op!
They then headed to Caledonia State Park on the way to The Round Barn!
After dinner, The Reilly's shared their first dance under our grand chandelier. We planned their first dance so that you would be able to see the stunning floral installation in the photos and it did not disappoint!
For Maria and her dads dance we were all wowed when Tim took the mic and sang to his new bride. If this moment did not bring tears to your eyes please tell me your secret because I was bawling! It was such a touching moment!
The Don't Call Me Francis Band brought down the house!
Tim jumped back on the mic to sing the best version of New York, New York I have ever heard and the cigar bar and lounge opened up!
Maria's dad and brother and Tim's brother had wonderful speeches where they shared
memories and hopes for the future all while getting a little silly!
Maria will always hold a special place in my heart. She was the first bride to take the leap of faith and allow Peachy Keen to help plan and coordinate her wedding without ever meeting her. She trusted us from a state away to make her dreams come true and when we finally met it felt like we were old friends. She is one of the most kind, genuine and realistic people I have ever met and Tim is the perfect match for her. Their families and friends will go down as one of the most fun crowds we have ever worked with and the overall wedding Maria planned will forever be a favorite of ours!
Maria chose our Coordination with Unlimited Rentals package which means she had access to our entire inventory for her wedding and I am here to tell you that we used 95% of it! We also built some custom pieces for her that were then added to our inventory.
